This is the fourth of my ‘Bridge Inn’ series of paintings. The composition is based in the first room of the semi-derelict barn (located alongside the inn). I wanted to contrast the decayed, cracked wall with the intact, quite modern light switch: also, the rough, dull surface of the wall, with the smooth, shiny surfaces of the metal switch box, and plastic cables attached to it.
